Hazardous Waste Training
This interactive, e-learning course was designed for colleagues to identify and explain the Hazardous Waste disposal process.
Tools Used: Articulate Storyline, Adobe Stock, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Whiteboard
Process: This was an existing course that goes out to learners on a yearly basis. After reviewing the previous course that was out there already, I knew there could be some improvements. This course was geared toward pharmacy colleagues, both new hires and existing. After reviewing the existing content, I updated the objectives in the course to provide the learners with performance objectives. Once the analysis stage was complete, I started brainstorming ways on how I could redesign this course. I used Microsoft Whiteboard to gather all my thoughts, including thumbnail sketches, color schemes, image ideas, etc. I then created a prototype for the stakeholders. I provided them multiple slides, which conveyed the same content from the previous course, but in a more visually and engaging way. I wanted an interactive learning experience, but yet, still professional. I used Adobe Stock and Adobe Illustrator for images and I used Articulate Storyline to program. In Storyline I used different elements, such as the fly in/out animations with text, motion path animations with text and images, and interactive tabs for users to reveal different information. After presenting the prototype to the stakeholders, they loved the updates and couldn't wait to see the entire course redesigned.
